This is a full-day tutorial in writing iOS apps in Apple's new language Swift using the Xcode IDE on Macintosh. An iPhone or iPad app is made of intercommunicating objects, and we will learn to create and destroy them and call their methods in Swift.
- Learn to draw text and graphics
- Perform simple animations
- Display controls such as buttons and sliders
- Respond to a touch or keystroke
- Recognize a swipe or a pinch
- Use a webview object to render a page containing HTML5, call functions to that page written in Java
Prerequisite: some experience in any language with classes, objects, and methods.
Instructor suggests that you acquire the current version of the application Xcode if you don’t already have it. It is a free app in the App Store.
