Steve Francia leads the public side of the engineering organization at 10gen including integration, evangelism, support and consulting. Steve brings to this role his experience as VP of engineering at OpenSky where he build the worlds first ecommerce site powered by MongoDB and one of the first PHP sites backed by MongoDB. Steve has been an engineer, entrepreneur and executive since 1995 when he built one of the first ecommerce sites while working for American Telecom. His previous roles include CIO/COO at Portero, VP of Development at Takkle and Founder & CTO of Supernerd. Steve loves open source. He has contributed to dozens of open source projects including MongoDB, Doctrine, Symfony2 and Zoop and has started a few of his own. Steve holds a BA from Brigham Young University in Philosophy, where among other things, he created and taught a course on dynamic web development.

Terry Ryan is a Worldwide Developer Evangelist for Adobe. The job basically entails helping developers using Adobe technologies to be successful. His focus is on web and mobile technologies including expertise in both Flash and HTML. Previous to that, he spent a decade working in various technical roles at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Matt is a developer and a developer evangelist within Brightcoves Zencoder business who travels the country helping people do video better. Zencoder is the performance leader in cloud video transcoding, and contributes heavily to Video.JS, one of the first open source HTML5 video players. Matt holds a bachelors degree in business administration with a management information systems concentration from the University of Georgia.

Peter is Technical Director at Crocodile RCS. He graduated from The University of Edinburgh in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science. After graduation Peter worked on a PSTN switch developing signalling stacks for SS7, ISDN and similar protocols and creating advanced routing and service applications. Since 2005 he has worked mainly with SIP first leading a team developing a PSTN gateway and then managing the development of a SIP Application Server. Peter joined Crocodile RCS in September 2010 and has made numerous contributions to the Kamailio open source SIP Router project (particularly in the areas of presence, WebSocket, MSRP, and SIP Outbound) since then. Sharma was formerly a Founder/General Manager of Vivox, a voice chat service provider in the games industry. He oversaw product and marketing for a company that servers over 60 million users around the world. With key relationships with EA, Ubisoft, Sony, Nexon, Big Point and many others, Vivox is the largest games communication provider and the second largest IP voice provider in the world.

Before joining Vivox, Sharma was vice president of business development at Jamcracker, Inc., where he developed partnerships and channel agreements that extended Jamcracker’s market share as a leading provider of IT management platforms. Andrea is an old timer of the Web for mobile devices. Steven Meek has 10 years of professional experience in the emerging web technologies including HTML5, mobile web, and scalable infrastructures. He is currently Chief Technology Officer for North American Power based in Norwalk, CT with the goal of putting a new face on energy data and systems. Before joining North American Power he was a consultant managing teams of overseas and in-house development efforts on a variety of projects including web applications, mobile applications, data mining, RIA down to simple front end websites. He also has worked on several indie game development projects.
