Net Tango Develops Metro Nashville Website

Net Tango has successfully launched the new Nashville Tennessee Metro Government website, http://www.Nashville.gov. Net Tango was selected and awarded a five year contract to develop and support the Nashville.gov portal, which serves as the city's primary communication gateway to Nashville citizens, businesses and visitors. The site receives over 2 million unique visitors annually.
"Metro Nashville had a number of goals, including: simplicity, information rich, vibrant, mobile friendly and easy to manage. The new site accomplishes those goals and showcases Nashville's inviting neighborhoods and communities, thriving business and economic development environment and status as a world class music and entertainment destination," said Christina Durham, Net Tango Director. And, this is just the beginning. New features will continue to roll out in the coming months.
The new site includes full content management for city departments and agencies, and simple and elegant design, enhanced search and simple navigation to help visitors easily find what they are looking for, and a mobile friendly design for easy access from cell phones and tablets.
The responsive mobile design is built on a customized version 1140 grid. It is HTML5 compliant and incorporates a fluid design to shift layouts responsively at different screen size breakpoints for optimal display on any device.
"Our goal was to make the website simple enough so that visitors to the site wouldn't need to know the organizational structure of Metro Government in order to find what they are looking for," said Keith Durbin, Metro's Chief Information Officer and director of Information Technology Services.
