CM Group Unveils Luminosity Lightshow -- an HTML5 Software Simulation Authoring Tool

CM Group, which specializes in advanced information and learning methodologies and technologies, announced the launch of Luminosity Lightshow, the new HTML5 based tool for creating interactive simulations.

Luminosity Lightshow helps train users to perform particular tasks and activities within software applications. The solution can be used by large organizations and software companies which need to teach users or customers how to use a software application. It enables users to try their application in a completely safe, controlled environment.

Lightshow boasts of a set of interactive features that make it powerful, yet easy-to-use authoring environment for all software training requirements. Its screen-capture-based simulations reduce the amount of time that users take to become productive with a new software package or application.   The company is offering a free trial of Lightshow at their Web site.

Since the technology is not based on Flash, it doesn’t require any browser plug-ins. Using HTML5, the latest Internet standard to replace Flash, the solution allows the content to be viewed in any modern Web browser, and most significantly on multiple device types, including desktops, mobile phones, and tablets including Apple (News - Alert) iPads, company officials said.

A recent TMCnet report highlights that the development of HTML5 is expected to have a significant impact on the Internet and the use of any device that connects to the Internet. It is also expected to affect the way in which we develop, generate and consume data, content and other information.
