DN2K Releases Virtual Operations Center to Ensure Efficiency

The recent cloud-based Virtual Operations Center (VOC) functionality from DN2K will allow industrial systems and critical businesses to continue fulltime operations from a secondary virtual location even during situations, which would otherwise bring operations to a complete stand-still.

Customers are also spared expenses associated with maintaining duplicate software and hardware solutions.

The latest release from DN2K has been designed to provide users with secondary operations center for redundant capability, as it offers aggregated control over complex systems from a number of different sources. Users can use devices such as smartphones, mobile pads or desktop computers for maintaining continuity in operations.

"The DN2K approach is both powerful and unique,” said Mark Meier, President of RFIP, Inc.

“The capability of maintaining continuous operations from a redundant location, without the need for duplicate hardware is of great use to our security, SCADA, and industrial control customers," added former Information Technology Director for the City of Oklahoma City.

The DN2K VOC solutions offers users benefits including interim and or complete disruption-free maintenance of operations; aggregated monitoring and control; multiple islands of technology sources, connected together to offer single operational picture of systems manufactured by different vendors; HTML5 based core technology; application scalability and extended real-time viewing and control of systems to multiple mobile devices in a secure manner.

"Companies have hundreds of networks and devices around the world, all from different manufacturers,” said Susan Lambert, President and COO of DN2K. “The DN2K VOC solution allows them to have aggregated control from a secondary virtual location in case of an event that might normally disrupt operations. Customers get this continuity of operations while avoiding the expense of duplicating their hardware and software systems."

DN2K solutions incorporate HTML5 and ensure cross-platform flexibility which can effectively extend functionality, user interface and controls of multiple operational assets, servers/networks or M2M databases, in addition to SCADA and industrial control systems to mobile devices in a secure manner.
