While in the company of the industry’s leading experts on HTML5, I have to say that the array of capabilities are rapidly expanding. The interaction of SVG, WebGL, and JavaScript can be further enhanced by how they are called out via CSS3. The impact is an innovator’s dilemma for Web animation. On the one hand, Flash still has capabilities that cannot be replicated with the software suite associated with HTML5, on the other hand, the interaction is so rich between the software components that new ways to provide contextual animation make HTML5 a more intriguing experience.
This was referred to as responsive design.
The concept of “One Web” is not a lie, but it is optimistic.
HTML5 can mask the ‘bring your own device (BYOD) dilemma,’ but fundamentally there is a time when you have to optimize for the device. However, as you design you should look for the places where a device can add to the mix of responses.
Dave Kaneda suggested that reading all the design guides from the device OS companies would be a good place to start when looking for what should be done in common and what should be done to optimize. With that knowledge and the use, Unity, JQuery and PhoneGap are tools that help to manage the common.

Remember you may think your app is Intuitive, but the user is trained by their device and the Web. To the see the presentations from DevCon5 visit the site here.
