Snow Republic Introduces HTML5 Web App as Part of Multi Channel Strategy

Snow Republic, a winter sports online retailer, launched an HTML5 Web app as part of its continuing multi-channel strategy. In order to provide customers with next-generation mobile messaging, applications and solutions, Snow Republic has decided to create an HTML5 web app which promises a native app-like experience with cross browser compatibility. This app is available for iPhones, iPads, Android (News - Alert) phones or any other smartphones regardless of operating system.

As more and more people are using technology for communicating, working, playing or just surfing, The Snow Republic web app enable customers to easily shop by gender, brand, department, and sale items whilst away from their computer.

The Snow Republic keeps products from the likes of Westbeach, Roxy, Helly Hansen, Quiksilver, Surfanic, Demon, Airhole, Dakine and Level Gloves as well as brands exclusive to the UK Hertel Wax and Strap Pad.

Speaking about new launch, Damian Taylor of Snow Republic in a statement, "The way browser technology is improving, the line between what a Web app can do and what a native app can do is becoming more blurred. While HTML5 may be in its infancy, we honestly believe it is the future for the online mobile world."

It offers much more than a basic transactional application, giving today's busy customers greater flexibility and ease of purchase while boasting key features such as the ability to compare products side by side from aspects such as price and fit.

For those customers who prefer to shop using the full website while on their mobile device, there is a simple switch allowing you to go between the mobile and desktop versions of the website. When festive season approaching the Snow Republic web app will prove a godsend for gift buyers, especially those with tight schedules on the move!

The Snow Republic can add new features to the app without users having to download an update.
