Learning Tree International, provider of highly effective hands-on training for managers and information technology professionals, has introduced a new Web development course–HTML5: Next Generation Web Development: Enhancing Web Sites with Emerging Technologies. The new course has been developed to impart knowledge and skills for using HTML5 which can help users in developing Web sites with advanced state-of-the-art standards and features.

In a release, Jennifer Urick, Vice President of Product Development for Learning Tree International, said, "In this HTML5 course, participants learn to build standards-compliant, responsive Web pages with the next generation of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Participants learn how to leverage HTML5 to create modern, feature-rich sites using next generation standards."

HTML5: Next Generation Web Development: Enhancing Web Sites with Emerging Technologies has been developed to extend support for currently in use browsers while enabling enterprises to benefit and take advantage of Web development of the future. Students taking part in the course are provided with exercises which offer hands-on experience and information on skills for creating innovative websites using HTML5.

The exercises in the HTML5 course include knowledge on how to enhance semantics and enabling accessibility and SEO with markup. Participants learn how to avoid user error with validation and pickers, create a 3-D effect with borders, shadows, and fonts and how to personalize user experience with location-specific content. The course also helps participants learn about persisting JSON data in localStorage and how to push content to the client with WebSockets. Additionally, the course teaches how to depict data graphically using Canvas API.
