Microsoft (News
– Alert)-centric customer relationship management (CRM) solutions provider SplendidCRM Software, Inc. has readied an open source CRM using HTML5 technology. Labled SplendidCRM version 6.0, it comes with a HTML5 Offline Client, said the supplier.
According to SplendidCRM Software, SplendidCRM version 6.0 employs HTML5 technology to run on majority of smartphones and tablets available in the market. The company said that the HTML5 Offline Client is included in all editions, including the free Community Edition, so that it is available to a very large group of users. The supplier also said that because SplendidCRM is open-source, the source code for the HTML5 Offline Client is available to all.
In a statement, said Paul Rony, president and founder of SplendidCRM Software, “Our new HTML5 Offline Client makes SplendidCRM available on touch devices while in airplanes or at client sites without an available network.”
SplendidCRM Partner Langtech’s president Brian Mott commented, “One thing I really appreciate about SplendidCRM is that they are always innovating.” He added, “One of their most recent innovations is the recent HTML5-based CRM version which not only provides a great mobile experience, but the offline client solves the very real issue of needing to access your CRM information while out of coverage or on a slow connection.”
The CRM solutions provider said that SplendidCRM 6.0 Professional and Enterprise is built on the HTML5 and REST technologies to add browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera. The browser extensions act as a plug-in for Gmail, thereby allowing companies that use Google (News

SplendidCRM Software said that videos that demonstrate the HTML5 Offline Client and the various browser extensions are available on the training page.
