Dolphin browser brings users the world’s first gesture and voice control (Sonar) based browser. It allows users to train their Dolphin to adapt to the way they want to browse. With just a touch of their finger tip, they can open their favorite web pages and tell Dolphin where to go. Dolphin is among the popular mobile browsers available with over 12 million downloads and growing daily.
Recently, the company announced the introduction of Dolphin Engine, behind-the-scenes technology that makes Dolphin Browser Beta the highest performing HTML5 browser available today.
According to the company, Dolphin Engine facilitates HTML5 rendering. This is up to five to 10 times faster than the default browser on Android (News – Alert). The company also claims that sometimes, it is 100 percent faster than Chrome. Dolphin Engine was tested on HTML5test.com. Dolphin was able to achieve this remarkable accomplishment with the help of detailed canvas improvements, and special attention was given to canvas element, 2D context and text, the company stated in a press release.

Recently, the company announced an agreement with Japan’s second largest operator KDDI (News – Alert) Corporation. Some of KDDI-customized mobile phones will be pre-installed with the Dolphin Browser in one or two years, starting from the cooperation day. KDDI now has over 30 million users. The operator has reached partnerships with some Silicon Valley enterprises, such as Facebook (News – Alert) and Twitter. Dolphin Browser is also one of KDDI’s partners in order to expand business further in mobile Internet market.
