AppDynamics and Apica have announced a partnership to provide DevOps, an integrated monitoring solution, to users. DevOps will provide users the visibility needed to see how their applications perform when in production, under load and across the different geo-locations, browsers and mobile devices.
According to the CEO of Apica, Sven Hammar, “Users expect a fast and reliable web, cloud and mobile experience. Together with AppDynamics, we’re providing users with best-of-breed solutions to ensure uptime and availability for revenue-critical applications.” Hammar said that businesses lose valuable customers and revenue for every second lost and with this level of understanding of the metrics, they will now be able to take measures to improve performance.
AppDynamics integrates with Apica WebPerformance, Apica ProxySniffer and Apica LoadTest. The WebPreformance product verifies application performance and availability from over 80 different locations world-wide, while the ProxySniffer records real end-user traffic and creates load test scripts and scenarios from collected data. The cloud-based Apica LoadTest tests mission-critical applications. The Apica portal is accessible on any web browser and mobile device allowing users to drill down to the root causes of slowdowns and availability issues using real-time data.
Apica offers customers a complete lifecycle visibility that helps customers deploy its solutions in production and pre-production environments. A direct integration of AppDynamics and Apica allows DevOps to monitor all business transactions and system resources while offering a drill-down analysis of real-time data into the AppDynamics user interface, thereby enabling rapid identification of performance problems.
The new Apica performance web 2.0 portal has been built around HTML5, thus enabling everything to adapt to different screen sizes. System monitoring is shown on different groups and more information can be shown by hovering over the different elements. The user interface allows users to switch back and forth between Apica and AppyDynamics providing a seamless experience and access to real-time data and metrics.
