Learning solutions provider InfoPro Learning recently announced the launch of "HTML5 ACE," its own HTML5-based learning solution. This mobile learning ecosystem offers not only instructionally sound content, it also features learning management systems, making it scalable and mobile.
In other words, because HTML5 ACE uses HTML5 framework, it is capable of rendering well on any portable device. Furthermore, JQuery and CSS3 help to create highly interactive applications, enhancing engagement and providing an overall richer learning experience.
“HTML5-based learning is the need of the hour as eLearning is no more confined to desktops or laptops, and has shifted to tablets, smartphones and all kinds of connected devices," said Karthik Natarajan, CTO and executive vice president of InfoPro Learning, in a press release. "Technology has undergone a tremendous change over the last few years and as a result integrating rich media, animations, simulations, and high-end interactivities within the courseware is becoming essential to make the content more engaging and effective.”
HTML5 ACE is capable of creating native applications for iOS and Android (News – Alert) devices by wrapping them through PhoneGap and developing Web-based solutions that work across multiple devices.
PhoneGap is an open source framework which is widely used for building cross-platform mobile applications, making use of HTML, CSS (News – Alert) and JavaScript for the creation of apps. Companies such as Appy Pie, one of the top app makers in the world, use PhoneGap to create free and paid mobile apps.
InfoPro’s solution is also capable of converting all legacy courses created with Flash, Authorware and Director, allowing those programs to be published on newer mobile platforms. In fact, these converted courses can be customized to be made device agnostic as well as integrated with any learning management system. Other features include a repository of interactive HTML5 templates along with InfoPro’s XMLised GUI, making conversion easier and more cost effective.
