Preview Version of Oracle NetBeans IDE 7.3 Available for Download

Oracle (News Alert) announced that users can now familiarize themselves with the advanced features incorporated into NetBeans Integrated Development Environment (IDE) 7.3 by downloading the preview version made available to them.

NetBeans IDE is supposed to provide high-quality comprehensive support for the newest Java technologies and latest Java enhancements before other IDEs. It is the first IDE providing support for JDK 7, Java EE 6, and JavaFX 2.0. It is a free, open source IDE available for Windows, Mac, Oracle Solaris, Oracle Linux, and other Linux distributions using which one can quickly build Web, enterprise, desktop and mobile applications for the Java platform, PHP and C/C++.

Chris Tonas, vice president of application development tools at Oracle commented, “Development teams worldwide can now leverage the new capabilities of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript to build rich user interfaces for both mobile and Web clients. The preview of NetBeans IDE 7.3 is providing exactly that, and should make it even easier for developers to leverage Java services to build state-of-the-art applications quickly and more efficiently”.

Oracle maintained that the NetBeans IDE 7.3 should empower developers to create and debug rich Web and mobile applications using the latest HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS (NewsAlert) standards. Users can experience a rich state-of-the-art development environment with code completion for HTML5 elements and new CSS3 rules, completely revamped JavaScript editor and debugger, and more. Other notable features made available are the continued enhancements to the IDE’s support for Groovy, PHP, JavaFX and C/C++.

Some of the notable features of NetBeans IDE are: fast and smart code editing; easy and efficient project management; rapid UI development; ability to write bug-free code; support for multiple languages and cross platform; rich set of community provided plugins; and more.
