Crittercism Unveils First Ever Mobile App Crash Reporting for HTML5

For developers of mobile apps, crashes could mean a serious dent in their business. Many times, they don’t even have a way of knowing when and how the crash has occurred, which delays the process of fixing that crash.

In the extremely competitive app business world, this could mean the loss of customers, reputation, and ultimately their business.

Crittercism, a Mobile App Performance Management (APM (NewsAlert)) platform, has lent a helping hand, introducing its new mobile app crash reporting service for HTML5. With this new service, developers can see errors and problems for HTML5, Mobile Web and Hybrid apps.

Crittercism makes use of its real-time app performance monitoring service to provide developers with real-time visibility into the performance of their apps. Irrespective of the language in which the app is provided, developers can manage all the apps with this product.

This service is also equipped with state-of-the-art Mobile APM features such as Breadcrumbs, Handled Exceptions, Dynamic Real-Time Alerts and Crittercism NDK.

“Developers are continually exploring and pushing the boundaries of mobile app development. We started out as mobile developers, so we understand how important it is to explore new languages, techniques and best practices in order to offer the best service," said Andrew Levy, Crittercism cofounder and CEO. "We are thrilled to offer developers, of all sizes, an easy method of uncovering issues and bugs in their HTML5 and Hybrid apps.”

Recently, the company introduced a real-time global view of app diagnostics across iOS, Android (NewsAlert) and HTML5.

Important attributes of the company’s real-time dashboard consist of App Health and Availability, to see the real-time availability of an app and obtain deep insight into how end users are interacting and utilizing apps across iOS, Android and HTML5; and Crash Trends, to derive a custom dashboard of suitable app metrics across app loads, errors, crashes, issues and bugs.
