Green Hills Optimizes Digital Instruments Platform with Obigo HTML5 Web Solutions


Green Hills Software, a provider of embedded software solutions, has joined hands with Obigo enabling it to deliver Obigo’s HTML5 Web solutions with the Green Hills INTEGRITY real-time operating system and secure INTEGRITY Multivisor virtualization technology.

Dan Mender, vice president business development, Green Hills Software said, “When combining Obigo’s product breadth and experience with the Green Hills Platform for Digital Instruments, developers are enabled to design the most scalable vehicle HMI solutions while delivering the highest performance, security and reliability.”

The combined solution will enable automotive infotainment and digital instrument manufacturers to save a lot of time in creating scalable, graphics-rich products. The product can be designed to offer optimum security and reliability based on HTML5 technology.

Obigo HTML5 platform features HTML5 browser, Web runtime, Web applications and device API extensions. The Web offering will include automotive-centric device APIs for secure data sharing and control of vehicle diagnostic, sensor data.

The combination of Obigo’s HTML5 browser and Web runtime along with INTEGRITY will provide an “Automotive-grade” HTML5 Web platform that will enhance secured device API access. On synergizing with INTEGRITY Multivisor, the Obigo HTML5 Web platform is employed as an HMI rendering engine, said officials.

In related news, Green Hills Software also announced the availability of a compliant AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture) Application Programming Interface (API) for its INTEGRITY real-time operating system (RTOS).
