Appcelerator to Provide Mobile Application Development Solution for Windows Phone 8

Windows Phone 8 from Microsoft (News Alert) is a new generation of the operating system. The device will replace the Windows CE-based architecture and enable applications to be easily ported between the two platforms.

Windows Phone (NewsAlert) 8 will also equip devices with backwards compatibility with Windows Phone 7 apps, and offers enhanced support for removable storage.

Many companies are already providing various tools and apps for this upcoming Windows 8 phone. Appcelerator, a mobile platform company, has announced its plans to provide a mobile application development solution for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8.

These applications will be available in the first half of 2013.

This new app from Appcelerator will allow developers to create completely native Windows Phone 8 and Windows Store apps. They can make use of their current JavaScript knowledge to do this. They can also simply easily transport the iOS and Android (NewsAlert) applications, built on earlier platforms to the Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 platforms.

According to Appcelerator, this new app allows the world’s mobile developer community to make use of the additional resources to ease the creation of rich applications.

“Working to release our developer tools for Windows 8 has been a great experience," said Appcelerator CEO Jeff Haynie. "We are so excited by the transformational technology Microsoft is bringing to industry, enabling us to provide developers with the best mobile application development solution for today’s cross-platform environment.”

Recently, the company entered into a partnership with automotive supplier DENSO Corporation. This initiative allowed the company to create a development solution for in-car applications. According to the company, the service will be fully combined with vehicle information systems.

Facilitating any Titanium app to transmit points of interest, such as restaurant or museum locations, to in-dash navigational systems that support NaviBridge, Appcelerator’s Titanium technology will be closely integrated into DENSO’s (NewsAlert) NaviBridge Module.
