It’s time to wrap up another week in tech news and take a gander at what happened in the world of HTML5.
First up, Verivo Software talked with the HTML5 Report, saying that its move into HTML5 is not a new step. In fact, the company has been a veteran in mobile enterprise apps, but is only now delivering the HTML5 platform capabilities demanded by enterprises.
Why have they waited so long? Essentially, “HTML5 was not good enough to match native app performance.”
But HTML5 is quickly gaining momentum in the enterprise space.
"The desire by enterprises to embrace HTML5 caused many businesses to take a step back in 2012 to review their options rather than moving forward with using mobile development platforms such as Verivo’s,” said CEO Steven Levy.

Recent analysis from Gartner (News

As we move towards a more BYOD-friendly society, organizations need to get on with mobile apps that can be both mobile-friendly and work-friendly, accommodating all styles of work on a mobile device.
What hybrid architectures do is offer a “best of both worlds” approach to mobile working. Native apps and HTML5 are essential to efficiency.
