Leader in wireless innovation set to participate in July 24-25 event
NORWALK, Conn. – July 22, 2013 – TMC and Crossfire Media announced today that BlackBerry has signed on as a Diamond Sponsor for DevCon5, to be held July 24-25 at the Kimmel Center in New York City. DevCon5 will center on the revolutionary technology, tools and techniques that enterprises, mobile and gaming developers need in order to build HTML5 pages and apps.
BlackBerry is a global leader in wireless innovation and has revolutionized the mobile industry. It aims to inspire the success of its millions of customers around the world by continuously pushing the boundaries of mobile experiences.
On Tuesday, July 23, BlackBerry will present a hands-on coding workshop to support app building capabilities for developers and designers, titled “BlackBerry Jam Starter Session.” The workshop will take attendees through the basic principles of building a BlackBerry app, with an overview of what they can expect throughout the process. After the session, attendees will have the opportunity to start building their own BlackBerry apps with support from BlackBerry experts and evangelists who will be on hand to answer any questions. BlackBerry will also host a series of mini-lessons throughout the day to introduce attendees to some of the deeper concepts of BlackBerry development. Attendees can learn more about the BlackBerry Jam Starter Session here.
“It’s difficult to consider the evolution of the wireless industry without factoring in the game-changing contributions of BlackBerry,” said Carl Ford (News – Alert), CEO of Crossfire Media and executive director of DevCon5 Content and Community. “We’re excited to have BlackBerry on board as a Diamond Sponsor for DevCon5, and look forward to the insight and innovation they will bring to the conference.”
