DevCon5 Embraces Large Attendance Numbers, Showcases Latest Applications

Premiere HTML5 and Mobile App Developers’ New York Conference deemed a success, looks ahead to Los Angeles event in December

NORWALK, Conn. – July 30, 2013 – DevCon5, the premiere hands-on conference for HTML5 and Mobile App Developers, wrapped up last week with a record-setting attendee turnout and cutting-edge content sessions contributing to the conference’s success, TMC and Crossfire Media announced today. More than 330 attendees converged in New York for the two-day conference, giving speakers a full house as they presented the latest updates in HTML5 and mobile applications technologies and breakthroughs.

The event kicked off with the BlackBerry Jam App Builders Starter Session Workshop, and was followed by two days of robust conference programming, including keynote addresses and special sessions featuring speakers from BlackBerry, Nickelodeon, Synacor (NewsAlert), Radware, AOL, Basho, DreamFactory and more than 40 other companies on the leading edge of mobile app development. DevCon5’s robust conference agenda spanned three tracks: Back to Basics, Advanced HTML5 and Mobile Development, with in-depth sessions providing attendees with the information and tools they need to exploit the capabilities of revolutionary HTML5 technology.

“We’re incredibly pleased with the turnout of attendees and quality of content at the DevCon5 conference this year,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMC. “The continued increase in attendance numbers is proof of how important HTML5 development has become and we look forward to continuing to exceed expectations as the event moves to Los Angeles in December.”

"The level of experience with HTML5 has yielded new tools and a deeper discussion than we have seen before.  Thanks to all the DevCon5 speakers who talked about rendering video and graphics and the tools available that make HTML5 the best solution for mobile and system development,” said Carl Ford (NewsAlert), CEO of Crossfire Media and executive director of DevCon5 Content and Community. "I am looking forward to seeing HTML5’s continued progress in LA."

DevCon5 New York was supported by Diamond Sponsors Basho and Blackberry; Platinum Sponsors Kony and Radware (News Alert); Gold Sponsors Aol Networks and Dreamfactory; and Silver Sponsor Xtreme Labs.
