Telerik, an application development solution provider, recently announced its plans to enhance its business operations by opening an office in Palo Alto (News – Alert), Calif. The company will also deploy its Mach5 Accelerator solution, which will assist up-and-coming mobile app and Web development organizations that utilize HTML5. This project will stand as an extension of Telerik’s Hong Kong-based program.
The company’s chief strategy officer, Stephen Forte, has expressed his excitement with moving Telerik’s efforts to the United States and reveling in the creative atmosphere of California. "Silicon Valley is home to ultra-talented people with unique technology perspectives, creativity, and passion,” he said. “Those are key reasons why Telerik Inc. set up shop in Palo Alto. It’s also why I’m excited to relocate from Hong Kong to Silicon Valley. More than 100,000 organizations in 94 countries now depend on Telerik for their development needs. We want to help propel companies also seeking to empower developers in brand new ways through this program."

Mach5 Accelerator comes just after Telerik released its Kendo UI technology, which speaks to cross-platform publishing purposes. The new technology also formerly worked in conjunction with AccelerationHK to support Hong Kong’s startup community with non-native development.
Telerik encourages interested startup companies to apply for an opportunity to test-drive Mach5 Accelerator. The company is currently accepting applications and will do so until the end of November. Startup organizations chosen to participate in testing the solution will work with it during a 14-week program set to start at the beginning of next year.
Companies involved in the program will also benefit industry expert guidance, mobile app establishment funding and technological support, marketing assistance, and other development resources for mobile app startup. Additionally, Telerik will provide each company with $25,000 in exchange for a 4 to 6 percent equity stake.
While Silicon Valley has seen several accelerators, including Y Combinator, 500 Startups, Orange (News – Alert) Fab, AngelHack and StartX, Mach5 Accelerator has established itself as the only one that works with HTML5 technology.
