Mobile advertising has always been a tough nut to crack because consumers’ interests seem to change as quickly as the technology. There is no doubt that mobile advertising does work, it’s just not always that easy to pinpoint the best way to reach consumers. One area that has been relatively successful has been the mobile shopping catalogs like the one offered up by TheFind.
That particular application had already been showing off what it could do with the backing of HTML5, now its coming to Android (News – Alert) as well. This application will allow shoppers to search more than 500,000 different stores that contain more than 500 million products.
TheFind is actually the kind of application that retailers need to rely on, because it has an easy multi-channel approach that can take the place of apps that are dedicated to a specific store. The developers of TheFind have pointed out that as many as 25 percent of retailers are getting rid of their mobile apps. The application is also on iOS and has already topped on million users.
With the recent release on Android, it seems as if the Omni channel shopping application will only get more popular and help retailers even more.
"Consumers are savvy and they are spending more time than ever using their phones and tablets for shopping. However, buying decisions are often made with more than just price considerations," said Ramneek Bhasin, general manager, of the team behind TheFind said. "Consumers want low prices and we deliver that. They also want to buy from their favorite stores, find and use relevant coupons or locate products nearby. We look forward to now bring our successes from our iOS app to the Android community."
The Android version also comes with an exclusive feature that allows users to shop catalogues from hundreds of retailers like Crate & Barrel and LandsEnd.
