Online and mobile gaming continue to be a growing market, and as a result of the incredibly diverse array of devices on which to play these games, more and more are being developed in HTML5. Gambling games have become a very popular form of online entertainment and subgenre of mobile gaming, and all over the world companies are cashing in.
In Italy, Hitstars.it—an iGaming brand of Slovenian gaming and entertainment operator Hit Group—recently entered into a new partnership with Medialivecasino to launch a new roulette game using HTML5. Being developed in HTML5 will allow both companies to launch the game across all platforms.
For 30 years, Hit Group has been active in the gaming and entertainment industry, and operates nine land-based casinos hosting some 3,320 slot machines and 220 tables. As such, the company knows a thing or two about creating online gambling alternatives for customers.
Under the terms of the agreement, Hitstars will use Medialivecasino's software to offer players a live dealer roulette broadcast from the Perla Casino & Hotel in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. The game will be broadcasted 24 hours a day, and is anticipated to be ready for live streaming in June.
Hitstars customers will also enjoy an extended Privilege Club loyalty program with the new deal, allowing users to accumulate points that can be redeemed for services and special prizes at affiliated land-based venues.
Being selected by Hit Group indicates that Medialivecasino is becoming “a reference point” for land-based operators moving online, according to Angelo de Gobbi, Medialivecasino head of sales and marketing.
Perhaps this is truly a sign of the changing, virtualizing times we live in today. No longer are casinos themselves drawing in big enough crowds and generating enough money. In order to stay afloat, many are seeking to add online and live-streaming gambling services to increase revenue. Having studied market trends, Hit Group believes that land-based venues must expand into the online gaming sector to remain competitive in an evolving industry.
