Betfair Gains HTML5 Games Through Deal with Odobo

Games developer and content marketplace Odobo has signed a deal to provide online gaming company Betfair with premium device-interoperable HTML5 games.

Betfair joins the Odobo marketplace just days after the games developer program welcomed Old Skool Studios and Youyougaming into its ever-growing fold.

Betfair, a U.K.-based betting exchange giant, has followed in the footsteps of the U.K. gambling billionaires at Bet365, by entering into an arrangement that gain the company access to the Odobo marketplace.

Julian Jarvis, chief business affairs officer at Odobo, said in statement, "Odobo provides leading operators like Betfair with a powerful new way to engage with game developers and bring engaging new content to their players. We are delighted to have Betfair adopting our unique model – one that supports key stakeholders in the industry from game concept through to end user. This deal also represents a significant increase in the distribution opportunity we offer our approved developers."

Betfair is expected to launch the first wave of Internet betting games from the Odobo Marketplace in the coming weeks.

The company will get immediate access to device-interoperable HTML5 games, along with a set of exclusive games commissioned from the Odobo developers set to coincide with the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

With launch of bet365 in Q4 2013, Odobo has piqued the interest of game developers worldwide by coupling a clear business opportunity with its multi-million pound bespoke technologies and services.

Odobo offers industry's first HTML5 Marketplace and Developer Program for the real-money gaming industry. The Odobo Marketplace is an integrated "App Store" where the latest HTML5 games can be licensed from developers on the platform. The Odobo Developer Program offers an opportunity for studios worldwide to get their games into regulated markets. Based in Gibraltar, Odobo is licensed and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commission.
