dinCloud, a cloud services provider, recently announced that it has received a 2014 Cloud Computing Desktop as a Service (DaaS) Award for webHVD, the company’s HTML5-powered Hosted Virtual Desktop (HVD). The award was given by Cloud Computing magazine, a TMC (News – Alert) sponsored cloud communications technology website.
Allowing users to access their cloud-based desktops, webHVD is very secure and supports 1 monitor. The solution works on any Windows platform (except Windows RT), MAC OSX, Linux, or Google (News
– Alert) Chromebook device. IPAD/Android will be supported when the Chrome browser allows extensions. dinCloud claims that webHVD is the only virtual desktop in the world that can surf Netflix, and it outperforms every other virtual desktop on flash heavy sites as well as ones where Microsoft (News
– Alert) Silverlight and other graphics technologies are deployed.
