Inspired Gaming Group (Inspired) announced on June 27 a deal with William Hill, one of Europe’s most popular online gambling sites, to provide premium HTML5 games on the bookmaker’s mobile infrastructure. The agreement is intended to expand William Hill’s already impressive market share with additional games and simultaneously provide an important new client for Inspired, a company which already supplies several prolific U.K. bookmakers. As the company specializes in casino and virtual sports games, Inspired can easily integrate its products with existing offerings and maintain the targeted customer base.
HTML5 first came into use in 2012 and current plans are for it to be completely finished and released by the end of 2014. One of the most significant advances is an environment for game development that rivals Adobe (News – Alert) Flash; the main benefit is that HTML5 is much more suitable for mobile platforms, as opposed to Flash which was developed prior to the mobile device boom.

Inspired is at the forefront of the frenzy testing the capabilities of HTML5, offering an array of free and premium games on its own platform alongside many others. However, William Hill boasts a robust mobile infrastructure that Inspired has not had as much access to that will allow the company to show off its abilities and continue to improve. The agreement will exponentially increase the company’s customer base and general exposure to the industry, rewarding its expertise with new technology.
The first game from Inspired is already available on the William Hill platform, called ‘White Knight’, with several more on the docket to be incorporated over the course of 2014. ‘White Knight’ is a slot game with medieval theming and sword-related gimmicks to prolong and improve the user’s gaming experience.
