Hands-on Enterprise Mobile App Development Workshop – 2013 MMW Conference

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Thursday, September 12, 2013 – 13:00 to 16:00 (UTC -7) Mobility and the Modern Web Conference, UCLA, California, United States (US) While developers have been focusing on creating consumer apps, the enterprise mobile apps market has been heating up. According to an IDG survey of large global enterprises, 86 percent of IT leaders view enterprise app projects as a critical or strategic priority. On average, $173 million per enterprise has been allocated specifically for application projects in 2013, 41 percent of the average $432 million budget of the IT leaders surveyed — and this for a market still in its infancy.

Enterprise mobile apps are the future. Developers wanting to get into this exploding market need tools that enable them to address enterprise needs. This entails a single paradigm for: both server and client-side development, multiple mobile clients to satisfy the BYOD crowd, certified integration into enterprise systems, such as CRM and ERP, and integration between on-premise and cloud-based systems. This workshop will introduce attendees to the Magic framework, a unique cross-platform enterprise application development platform. Developing separate native apps for iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows is expensive and time consuming. Magic lets you create apps for a variety of devices and operating systems with a single metadata-based development effort, ensuring code doesn't need to be fully rewritten every time device features change or the OS is updated. The platform handles all the complexities behind the scenes, ensuring that the apps can be created more quickly while still employing native device features and rich functionality, including HTML5.

Don't forget that integration is critical to enterprise mobile app development. In fact, MGI Research estimates that integration costs for mobile enterprise apps typically account for 70% of the overall mobile enterprise app solution. Therefore, it makes sense for businesses to consider an integration platform that is closely tied to their mobile app development process.

Attendees will receive free temporary Magic licenses.
