Last Few Days to Support Appy Pie’s Game Builder Kickstarter Campaign

"The support we have had so far is great, we hope we can now take it that little bit further in the last few days we have," said Abhinav Girdhar, founder of Appy Pie. "If we reach our target this will not only validate Game Builder but also give us confidence that our solution is supported by gamers, developers, businesses and individuals." Game Builder does not require any programming skills and there is no need to install or download any software. Completely cloud-based, Game Builder will enable users to not only create mobile games online with just a few clicks but to also monetise their games by deploying them on iTunes, Google Play and Windows Phone Marketplace. Game Builder is unique in that it is the only web-based game development platform currently available on the market. With it, users can create a hybrid game that works on both mobile and web platforms.

Appy Pie recognised there was no tool available on the market that enabled mobile games to be created without first downloading software or requiring some prior programming knowledge. Game Builder has been designed to keep the entire game building process as straightforward as possible, with only three simple steps needed to create a game: Step 1: Select Game Type Choose a genre from the game library, such as Action. For the public release of Game Builder in November, there will be at least four genres to choose from, with more added on an ongoing basis.

Step 2: Enter Game Info Provide information such as the game name, logo and description.

Step 3: Customise Game Settings Create main characters and enemies, weapons, obstacles and collectables using images from the default library or from uploaded custom images.

The finished HTML5 mobile game is then available for immediate download on iPhone, iPad, Android or Windows 8 devices or users can simply play it in their web browser. Appy Pie plans to add a number of advanced features to Game Builder in the coming months, including game monetisation, game analytics, push notifications, real-time changes and the ability to add paid levels with in-app purchases.

Those who pledge their support for Game Builder on Kickstarter will get a variety of rewards depending on their level of contribution, from digital downloads of the mobile games they design to the opportunity of becoming Appy Pie's first white label mobile game reseller, which is available to just two supporters who pledge $5,000 or more. The fundraising campaign runs until August 28th, and Appy Pie needs to achieve its $10,000 goal otherwise it will receive none of the pledged money.
