Good Technology Securely Mobilizes and Extends Microsoft Environments

SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Good Technology, the leader in secure mobility, today announced a set of new innovations to more quickly and simply accelerate mobility for Microsoft customers. Good Work™ now integrates with Microsoft OneDrive for Business for easier document storage and access, and is also available in the cloud, on-premise or in hybrid environments to provide IT flexibility for Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 architectures. At Microsoft Convergence 2015 yesterday, Microsoft introduced Dynamics CRM for Good, a Good-secured version of Microsoft’s flagship CRM solution now available to joint Good and Microsoft customers in the Good Marketplace and Apple App Store. Finally, Good announced the availability of a new Good Dynamics® software development kit (SDK) for Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 apps.

“Everything moves faster with mobility, whether it’s developing apps or securing enterprise data on mobile devices,” said Christy Wyatt, chairman and CEO of Good Technology. “Good is moving at the speed of innovation, delivering the tools businesses need to grow and adapt as their needs and strategies change.”

Good was the first to provide mobile professionals with secure access to their enterprise content, including support for Microsoft Exchange Server, in 1998. With today’s announcement, Good Work can now save documents to Microsoft OneDrive for Business, enabling customers to utilize their preferred storage solution while using Good-secured apps. This further enhances customers’ abilities to easily collaborate on documents across a variety of mobile devices including Windows Phone 8.1, Windows 8.1, iOS and Android, while supporting existing investments in Microsoft Exchange or Office365, Lync, SharePoint and Dynamics CRM.

Good also announced today that customers can choose between cloud deployments, on-premise deployments or a hybrid model that offers the best of both Microsoft and Good Technology components to support their preferred deployment architectures. For example, an organization might choose to deploy Good Work in the cloud but host Microsoft Exchange on premise, or deploy Office 365 in the cloud and host Good Work on premise.

For the wide variety of consumer devices being brought into the enterprise, Good provides comprehensive cross platform management to ease IT support. Using the Good Dynamics® Secure Mobility Platform, IT can set policies and maintain control over Android, iOS and Microsoft devices, applications and content with one solution. Good is now adding mobile device management (MDM) for Windows 8.1 tablets, including Surface Pro tablets, to round out support for the most strategic mobile OSes in the market. As a result, organizations can confidently and securely support a heterogeneous environment, extending their Microsoft application investment to both Microsoft and non-Microsoft devices with strong security on a unified management platform.

Good also announced today that it is the only EMM provider to offer Microsoft developers an easy-to-use SDK to build universal apps secured by Good for Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 8.1 on the Good Dynamics Platform. This allows developers to focus on building the best apps to meet their constituents’ needs, enhancing usability and utility to enable the priority roles for mobilization without coding their own security layers. Good Dynamics infrastructure components enable security, manageability and interoperability across an organization’s desired platforms, and provide monitoring of app service levels.

“While many organizations run a variety of Microsoft products and services, today’s business reality is that there are going to be various devices on multiple operating systems accessing corporate data,” said John Herrema, senior vice president of product management at Good Technology. “Good is enabling Microsoft shops to securely mobilize multiple Microsoft applications and content on any device.”
