Ceros, the Interactive Content Marketing Platform, Announces Standalone Software Development Kit to Unlock Content Marketing Creativity

Ceros, the interactive content marketing platform, today announced its first standalone software development kit (SDK). With the SDK, brands can customize the behavior and appearance of Ceros content to further increase the business impact of their interactive marketing efforts. In 2015, Gartner (NewsAlert) stated that as content marketing matures to an increasingly operational state, it’s recommended for content to be brought to life with interactive elements. The new SDK from Ceros will give developers creative freedom using code, without having to embed content on-site.

“First, we unlocked creativity for designers, giving them the ability to create amazing interactive content without developers. Now, as digital storytellers look to push the boundaries of what’s possible, we’re unlocking creativity for developers as well,” said Matt Wellschlager, VP of Marketing, Ceros. “With the SDK, our users can create super sophisticated, awesome experiences. They can also seamlessly pass data between Ceros and other systems to gain deeper insights into their audiences.”

Offered to select Ceros clients in beta, several use cases have already been tested with the SDK including:

  • Personalizing text using information from CRM, marketing automation, and other contact databases.
  • Tracking granular activit within Ceros content and recording it at the contact level in marketing automation platforms.
  • Creating a dynamic sound board with logic-based click events.
  • Building gamified content, including matching games, level-based games, and role-playing games.
  • Creating personality quizzes and other content with branching logic.

“As content marketing becomes more sophisticated, it’s imperative to stay on top of the best solutions available for making that content interactive, measurable, and engaging. With Ceros’ SDK, we’ve been able to create levels of digital interactivity that we’d never seen before, nor thought possible with such ease,” said Ben Plomion, SVP of Marketing, GumGum. “We use our Ceros experiences as cornerstones within our sponsored content programs and have seen our relationships with media partners become even more creative by bringing this interactive content to the table, including our recent piece, The Marketer’s Matching Game. It has changed the game for our brand awareness efforts and we can’t wait to continue iterating on new ideas with Ceros.”
