CSS Animation to Tell a Story A-05
Sarah Drasner
Lead UI/UX Designer and Developer
Basho Technologies
Using advanced techniques, we will be constructing engaging CSS animations with very little to no jQuery. Through the creation of scalable graphics we will emphasize using the smallest amount of code for maximum impact and show when it is appropriate to use transitions versus animations and even how to combine them. We will look at current support for techniques across browsers, and spacial depth with foreground, middleground, and background. We will also be discussing the use of storyboarding to work out ideas to cut down on editing time and the composition of a nuanced character, even if the character is a concept.

Customer Enrollment using Mobile Web and Mobile Imaging MD-05
Michael Strange
Chief Technology Officer
Mitek Systems
Smartphone and tablet adoption continues to accelerate. Mobile web utility is expanding. Mobile imaging is a huge trend, driving consumer adoption through the convenience of “just snapping a picture”. As a result, many devices carried in purses and pockets have mobile web capabilities, and cameras. The intersection, and the opportunity for convenient solutions, is compelling.Regarding mobile imaging, the primary case that many think of is Mobile Deposit – taking a picture of a check to deposit it. The ease of use is driving the technology into new areas including document management, bill payment, receipt processing, customer service, healthcare, and many other areas. In this session, we will explore the intersection of mobile imaging trends and the current state of mobile web technology. In particular, we will outline a technical architecture, best practices and implementation suggestions to streamline customer enrollment using mobile web. The opportunity to target and onboard new customers quickly and easily is a valuable use case, and a compelling example of the intersection of mobile web and mobile imaging.
